Agra, August 11:  Just a month after 11 members of a family was found hanging in Delhi’s Burari, another such case has come to light where a man and his three children consumed bananas that contained poison, reportedly, in an attempt to commit suicide, in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra on Friday. The neighbours on Friday morning saw all the four lying on the ground with white froth oozing from their mouths. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Man Singh and his 11-year-old daughter Archana dead. The other two kids — Roopesh and Abhay — are in critical condition, police said quoting the doctors. According to neighbours of the deceased, Man Singh, 45, was suffering from depression since his wife’s death some time ago following a prolonged illness. Burari Incident

Bodies of 10 members of the family were found hanging from an iron mesh attached to the ceiling on July 1, while one of the members- identified as Narayan Devi was found lying on the floor in another room of the house. Narayan Devi’s daughter Pratibha (57) and two sons — Bhavnesh (50) and Lalit (45) — were among the deceased. Bhavnesh’s wife Savita (48) and their three children — Neetu (25), Maneka (23) and Dhirendra (15) — were also found dead.

The others found dead were Lalit’s wife Tina (42), their 15-year-old son Dushyant and Pratibha’s daughter Priyanka, who got engaged last month and was supposed to get married by the year-end.
