Bulandshahr: A teenage girl was abducted and gangraped while returning from a wedding ceremony with her brother in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr on Sunday evening.
Reportedly, the siblings were travelling on NH 91 on a motorbike, when they were intercepted. The men in the car first rammed the bike that led to the duo falling off, and then they beat up the survivor’s brother, tied him up and pushed him into the fields. The accused then abducted the girl and drove past the area.
The teenager was found 24 hours after, about 3 km from the area of accident. She is currently in a hospital, believed to be in critical condition. Her medical examination has confirmed rape.
No arrests have been made so far, but sources suggest two men have been taken into custody.
Surprisingly, when questioned about the delay in the case, some police officials speaking to NDTV said, “Bhaisahab, police ko thoda time to doge, ki nahin?” (Brother, will you give police some time or not?)
This case is reminiscent of 2016 gangrape case, where a mother-daughter duo was gangraped on the Bulandshahr highway for nearly three hours, while their male relatives were thrashed and tied to trees.
