Gonda (Uttar Pradesh): Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Faizabad has allegedly made a blunder by printing Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s photo in a student’s admit card. The admit card was issued to Amit Dwivedi, a student of Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. Worried about the error, Amit Dwivedi told ANI, “I have filled the second year examination form correctly with my picture but after I received the admit card, it had a picture of Amitabh Bachchan. I have been allowed to give my examination after submitting additional documents however now I am worried about my mark sheet which might also have Amitabh Bachchan’s picture.” Also Read - Coronavirus In Lucknow: UP Law Minister Says Lockdown Possible, Situation Precarious
The college administration, on the other hand, blamed the student and alleged that the error might have taken place in the internet cafe from where the student filled up the examination form.
A senior official of Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Gurpendra Mishra reportedly said, “Amit is a regular student of our college and has filled his examination form. It is possible that he or the internet cafe from where he filled up the form committed the error. There is also a possibility that University might have erred.”
“The student is giving his exams and we have informed the principal of exam centre. Efforts will be made that a correct mark sheet is issued,” added Gurpendra Mishra.
A similar error was detected in the voters’ list in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district earlier in the year. While a photo of a scantily clad woman was found in place of a 51-year-old woman, the voters’ list carried photos of an elephant, pigeon and a deer in place of other voters.
