Etawah, Aug 8: A woman and her three children, all daughters were found murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah on Tuesday. The woman, Neha aged 30 years and her daughters- Tulsi, 7, Mohini, 4 and Kallo, 3, were strangulated and the three minor girls were then thrown off the fourth floor of a building. The victims resided in the Kanshiram Colony in Civil Lines area of Etawah. As per police, an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause behind the murder. Alok Singh, Inspector General (IG), Kanpur said some people had been taken into custody and were being interrogated. Singh said, “More than one person could be involved in the crime. The police further said that an autopsy report was being prepared to check if the woman had been raped.  It must be also noted that the front door was not locked from inside and wheat flour and some utensils were scattered all over the floor of the house hinting at scuffle which may have occurred. Meanwhile, the woman’s husband, who is a painter and had left for work two days back has not yet returned home. The incident came to light after some locals noticed the bodies of three girls on the road with blood all around last evening. Out of the three, one of them was breathing too. The locals called the police and rushed the girl to the hospital but the latter was declared dead on arrival.

The woman was also found dead till the time police reached her house.

SSP Etawah, Ashok Tripathi said the woman’s husband was finally caught later and was questioned and later taken into custody. According to an investigator, certain leads indicated that the women and kids were murdered to take revenge.

Incidentally, none of the neighbours heard neither noticed anything unusual said the police.
