Uttar Pradesh: 3-year-old Girl Raped by Teenage Neighbour in Rampur, Dumped Inside Box

Rampur, Apr 5: A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped and dumped inside a box by her neighbour in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. The accused has been identified as an 18-year-old boy. The shocking incident took place on April 2 at Tanda town, when the child was alone at home.

“On seeing the parents away, the accused lured the child with a chocolate and took her to his house. As the child started screaming and crying in pain the accused in fear left her and fled. The locals rushed and rescued the child,” a police official was quoted as saying in a report by news agency ANI. (ALSO READ – Minor raped by CRPF jawan in UP’s Bijnor)

Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested. The Rampur police have registered a case against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012.
