New Delhi: At least six people were killed and five others injured after a speeding truck rammed into a tempo in Kerakat police station limits in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. As per the initial report, among five injured, three are in critical condition and referred to Sir Sunderlal Hospital (BHU) while two others shifted to the district hospital.
In another incident, four persons, including three women, were killed in Kanpur district after a speeding truck rammed into an auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling, police said. The accident happened near Kursana village. Five persons sustained critical injuries in the accident.
Angry over the loss of lives, the villagers pelted stones at a police team which reached the spot.
In another incident on November 9, six people were killed and 13 seriously injured in a road accident in Gunnaur located in Sambhal district. The head-on collision took place between a Bolero and a Roadways bus. The bus was heading towards Delhi while the SUV was moving towards Nainital. As many as 19 people were in the SUV when the accident occurred.
