Lucknow, Feb 7: Congress on Wednesday will release its manifesto for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017. As per a report of ETV UP, the manifesto will be released by Ghulam Nabi Azad, along with Raj Babbar, Sheila Dikshit. PL Pulia will also mark his attendance.
The manifesto will be released at 12 noon at the party headquarters in the state capital.
The manifesto of Congress was awaited after its political rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released their poll document recently. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi while conducting rallies in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh has already stated that his party will improve the industrial sector 0f state, and employment of youth remains a key agenda of Congress. In the Kanpur joint rally with UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, Gandhi had on the podium suggested UP CM to make a separate joint manifesto considering the youth of the biggest state in the country.
Gandhi had laid out his desire saying he wants all youths of UP to study in Medical and engineering and had given assurance laying out provisions for it. Congress vice president had also wished to make UP the food factory of the country.
This time the manifesto will be interesting to watch out for, as the party is releasing its manifesto after BJP and also the needs of SP will be kept in mind. This means, apart from assuring employment to all, 24*7 electricity will also be included. It might also include smartphones to youth and pension on which Akhilesh Yadav is keen to deliver his words.
Benefits to farmers and sugarcane farmers will find the top spot too.
