Lucknow, July 19: The Uttar Pradesh Assembly was waterlogged due to heavy rains today in Lucknow. While rain brought relief, it caused waterlogging in different parts of Lucknow, leading to traffic snarls. Rains have been playing hide and seek in Uttar Pradesh. The state has recorded heavy rains in parts of the city during the initial days of the month.
As per a report by Skymet Weather, rains took a short break of 3-4 days before lashing the state of Uttar Pradesh again the last 24 hours. According to the reports, in last 24 hours from 08:30 AM on Sunday, Bareilly recorded 22 mm of rains. Bahraich recorded 10 mm, Lucknow 9.4 mm and Agra recorded 3 mm of rainy spells.,” reports Skymet Weather.
As per a Skymet Weather report, a trough is passing through Central India giving moderate showers over Uttar Pradesh. The reports also have it that the rains are likely to increase in coming days. Districts such as Bareilly, Moradabad, Agra, Etah, and Firozabad will get to see good rains. Moreover, humid easterly winds are also incurring moisture over Uttar Pradesh.
Scattered rains are expected to lash over the western and central parts of the state till July 19.
