Lucknow, May 31: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath will visit Ayodhya on Wednesday to attend the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, member of the trust which promotes and oversees construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. However, this visit of the Chief Minister comes at the backdrop of an important announcement by the Chief minister’s office today which claimed that soon Ayodhya will be linked to Purvanchal Expressway via a link road. In this regard, the Government also said that this task will be carried out by the PWD.
The CMO also announced that the Green field Expressway project which connects Lucknow to Ghazipur via Azamgarh will henceforth be called the Purvanchal Expressway. It is with this expressway that the Government has asked the PWD to link Ayodhya using a new link road. The announcement also said that all bids which were made has been terminated and fresh bidding will be conducted in the Expressway project, wherein builders of all the eight packages will be selected.
However, the primary motive of the CM to Ayodhya is to attend the birthday of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, a member of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, the trust which oversees and monitors the construction of the Ram Mandir by replacing the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Noteowrthy that Das is a also accused of conspiracy in the demolition of the Babri Masjid like several other senior BJP leaders including Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti.
A bench of Lucknow Court on Tuesday charged the BJP leaders with conspiracy to demolish the 16th century Babri Masjid and construct a Ram Mandir in place of it. The volunteers who took part in this movement in the December 1992, destroyed major parts of the Babri Mosque in Ayodhya.

According to NDTV, in connection to the court charge against the BJP senior leaders the CM said that they are innocent and will come out unscathed. Reports also claimed that he is expected to offer prayers at the makeshift Ram temple in Ayodhya.
