Hardoi: At an event organised by Samajwadi Party Nitin Agrawal at a temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi, liquor bottles hidden underneath food were distributed, according to media reports. The event, which was held on Monday, saw the presence of Agrawal as well, who is the son of BJP leader Naresh Agrawal.
The people attending the event were surprised when they found alcohol bottles in food packets along with ‘poori’ and ‘sabzi’. According to reports, liquor was also served to the minors present in the event.
Naresh, who was formerly with SP, left the democratic socialist party on March 12, 2018 and joined the BJP after SP chose actress Jaya Bachchan as its candidate for election to the Rajya Sabha.
Of late, reports have been rife that following his father’s exit from the SP, Nitin will also join the BJP. However, technically, he continues to be an active member of the Samajwadi Party.
Editor’s Note: The story has been updated after we found that Nitin Agarwal is associated with the Samajwadi Party and not the BJP. We regret the wrong representation of the fact.
