Lucknow: Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister OP Rajbhar on Saturday said that he welcomed Akhilesh Yadav’s statement regarding bringing the army back in Ayodhya, asserting that UP government is to blame if people are still gathering in the city despite the imposition of Section 144.
“I welcome Akhilesh’s statement. Section 144 is imposed in Ayodhya, yet the administration is letting people gather there, it means they have failed. The army should be brought. Chief Minister is interested in election campaigning when section 144 is imposed in Faizabad (Ayodhya). The kind of crowd that has gathered there… its responsibility will lie with the Chief Minister,” the UP minister said.
Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not believe in either Supreme Court or constitution. Talking to reporters, Yadav said, “BJP can go to any extent. The kind of environment there is in UP, especially in Ayodhya, the Supreme Court should take notice of it and bring an army if necessary.” In the recent past, Ram Temple issue has been raked up by many political parties who have been demanding from ruling saffron party to bring an ordinance in the issue.
On October 27, Om Prakash Rajbhar threatened to resign from the state cabinet. On the occasion of the 16th raising day of the party, his anger against the BJP government in his state came out in the open. He said that he is disappointed with the BJP. Addressing a rally, he had said, “I have not come here for the power but to fight for the poor. Should I fight this battle or become a slave of the BJP? I have not been assigned a single office till today. I have made up my mind that today I will resign.”
