Dehradun, May 8: Days before the floor test on May 10 announced by the court, another sting videos has enhanced Harish Rawat government’s ongoing problems on Sunday in which he has been alleged by his own MLA Madan Bisht telling rebel party MLA Harak Singh Rawat that he was instrumental in providing lakhs of rupees to 12 Congress MLAs. Rawat has however quashed the charges and said that this is another attempt by BJP leaders to defame his government.

Addressing press conference on Sunday, Harish Rawat said, “Our MLAs and the political leaders are being threatened by the BJP leaders. They have complained me about the threat messages.” He said that the BJP is afraid as they might not be able to prove their majority in the Assembly and henceforth playing the blame game. On the other hand BJP leader Bhagat Singh Koshiyari said, “CM do not have confidence in their own leaders and the leaders do not have faith in their Chief Minister. That is why they are trying to buy MLAs. Lets wait for the floor test and the result will clarify everything. What we hope is that BJP is going to form the next government.” Koshiyari added that the BJP wants that the this buying game of MLAs in state should stop.

In this latest video, Congress MLA Madan Bisht is seen allegedly telling the rebel party MLA Harak Singh Rawat that he was involved in the providing money to the all the rebel members on behalf of deposed chief minister. The video also shows that Bisht also offered a bribery of lakh of rupees to deputy speaker AP Maikhuri so that the party can prove their majority in the house. However the authenticity of the report is yet to be verified.

Speaking on the issue, the Opposition BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya and Nalin Kohli have targeted Rawat, alleging that the deposed Chief Minister can go to any extent to secure his seat and they are resorting to illegal means to do that. Kailash Vijayvargiya said, “Harish Rawat can go to any extent to save his chair, he is buying his own MLAs.

Reacting to the allegation Rawat said on Sunday that the Narendra Modi-led BJP government is misusing central agencies against a stable non-BJP state government, like they did it with Arunachal Pradesh, bust assures that Congress will prove their majority in the Assembly on May 10.
