Bhopal, April 12: Veenu Paliwal, one of the India’s top woman bikers met her death in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district. The mishap took place on Monday evening during Veenu Paliwal’s nationwide tour. The 44-year-old Jaipur resident lost her life after her Harley Davidson motorcycle skid off a road near Gyaraspur, 100 km from state capital Bhopal. Veenu Paliwal was on a nationwide tour on her Harley Davidson bike along with fellow biker Dipesh Tanwar, who was on another vehicle. She left Lucknow early on Monday and was heading for Bhopal, during which the accident took place. Though Veenu was wearing safe gears, she sustained severe injuries. She was first shifted to a primary health centre and then to the Vidisha district hospital where she was declared dead by doctors. The hospital authority will conduct a post-mortem today. “Her family and friends in Jaipur, Indore and Mumbai have been informed. Some of them have already reached,” a police official was quoted as saying.

Veenu Paliwal, popularly known for riding her Harley Davidson bikes at 180 kmph, wanted to make a documentary on her motorbike journey across the country. She used to love ride bike from her childhood days. She learnt to ride in college, from friends. She was restrained from riding bikes after getting married to a husband who didn’t let her to ride motorcycles. Last year, she took divorce and went for a nationwide tour.
