New Delhi, Mar 23: A veteran Bollywood actress, who ruled the silver screen in the 70s and 80s, registered a rape case against a businessman at Juhu police station in Mumbai on Friday. The case was transferred to the crime branch of the Mumbai Police. The accused businessman has been arrested and will be produced in court today for remand.
Earlier in January this year, the actress had filed a molestation and stalking complaint against the businessman. If reports are to be believed, the 66-year-old actress and the businessman were good friends and they even knew each other’s family but due to some reason their relationship turned sour and the actress stopped talking to him.
However, the businessman allegedly called and stalked her, which forced her to register the complaint.
While speaking to a leading portal, Mumbai DSP Paramjit Singh Dahiya said,”When the actress stopped talking to the businessman, he tried to contact her and also sent some videos to her. Besides, he also picked a fight with the actress’ building security guard. The police had registered a case under sections 304 D (stalking) and 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.”
