New Delhi, Sep 20: In wake of the ghastly Uri terror attack that shook the nation and defence establishment, people of India have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take a strict action against the perpetrators of the deadly strike that claimed so many innocent lives. Expressing rage through Twitter and Facebook posts, Indians urged Modi to teach Pakistan a lesson for life. The terror attack that took place on Sunday morning around 5.30 AM on an Army camp in Uri region of Jammu and Kashmir, claimed lives of 18 soldiers, triggering a national uproar.
Appalled by the brutal attack, twitterati expressed their frustration and asked the government to launch an effective action plan against such attacks. India has been on target for such terrorist activities since a long time. An angry rhetoric echoed from across the nation, asking for revenge. A revenge for the lost lives, a revenge that the families of the martyred seek. There were Facebook posts seeking revenge from Pakistan. In their tweets and Facebook posts, citizens of India asked Prime Minister Modi to wake up and take appropriate action since it was high time now and many sacrifices have been already made. There was a cry for revenge from families of the martyred soldiers. The families demanded a strict and decisive action against the neighbouring country for targeting India and killing the innocent ones.
This ‘fidayeen’ attack was the deadliest of all in recent times that reported one of the worst casualties suffered by the Indian Army. The militants attacked the rear office of 12th brigade headquarters at Uri, located close to the Line of Control (LoC). Countless jawans have sacrificed their livesfor the motherland, but yet India patiently waits to respond to Pakistan.
