Want to be a successful entrepreneur? You need to have a good complexion, height, says Rajasthan textbook

Jaipur, Apr 18: According to a textbook in Rajasthan, one needs to have a good complexion and a good height in order to be a successful entrepreneur. The news comes days after a class XII textbook in Delhi, titled ‘Health and Physical Education’, read that “36-24-36 shape of females is considered the best“. It was authored by Dr VK Sharma.

According to an Indian Express report, the text in a Rajasthan book forms part of a book on skill development for Class 12 students. The books itself forms part of the “socially relevant schemes” included in the curriculum for secondary and senior secondary classes in the state.

Here are the points which define a good entrepreneur as per the textbook:

– A good entrepreneur is healthy and has a pleasing personality.

– An entrepreneur is good only if he has a good height and a fair complexion.

– A successful entrepreneur has sobriety and seriousness.

“Uttam swasthya, prabhavshali vyaktitva, acchi unchai, sundar rang, shaleenta, gambhirta,” the book read while defining the qualities of a good entrepreneur.

Recently, in sync with the initiatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party governments at the Centre and state, the Rajasthan government schools had made substantial changes in school textbooks.

Large portions of the books have been dedicated to include major schemes announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje such as budget announcements, Make in India initiative and Resurgent Rajasthan investment summit.

In a major development in the Delhi textbook case, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday registered an FIR against a publisher after overwhelming complaints over a Class XII CBSE Physical Education book saying that “36-24-36” is the best figure for females. The case has been registered under Section 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.
