Tamil Nadu News: Two people sustained injuries after a massive chariot being carried through the streets of a village during a temple festival in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district, toppled, crushing devotees underneath.
According to reports, the incident took place during the Sulapidari Amman temple, which is held every two years in Kandachipuram village.
During the festival, devotees carry beautifully decorated chariots through the village streets. The chariot do not have wheels and designed to be carried by people.
On Wednesday, one such chariot toppled while being carried through the streets and crashed onto a group of people below, injuring two persons, the police said.
A video of the incident shared on social media showed the gigantic chariot toppling over and falling on the ground below.

A senior official said two people were injured in the incident and were rushed to a local hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
