Parrikar further added  that by the end of December we plan to boost Goan economy’s cashless component five to ten times, this can serve as a typical model to other states. The Defence Minister told ANI, “cashless matlab crime kamm,black money ki opportunity kamm.” This means if we go cashless it will lessen the number of crimes and also cut out black money and economy will flow smoothly. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in this regard said that we had decided that Goa will be the first state to go cashless. Adding to the cashless dream he further stated that the mobile can now become the new bank and had  also held a meeting with government officials and bankers of Goa for making the ‘cashless’ dream a real.

Also, Goa is going cashless from December 31 and people will be able to make transaction with just a touch on mobile.
