An active western disturbance has influenced the Western Himalayan region, resulting in light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over the region today, December 23. Rainfall activity is also expected over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the same period. Notably, there is no chance of rain in the national capital.
IMD also suggested that scattered rainfall or snowfall may continue over the Western Himalayan region during December 24 to 26.
It is to be noted that a fall of 3–5 degrees Celsius is likely between December 23 and 25. However, Uttar Pradesh has different weather conditions, with minimum temperatures gradually rising by 2–3 degrees Celsius.
