
A crude bomb blast have left three injured in the Malda district of West Bengal on Thursday. The mishap happened after the bomb was being removed in a hurry. Police say that the incident is a result of a tiff between two families from the area. Reports say that local criminals of the area was making a crude bomb when it exploded.
Ziaul Sheikh and his son Nawab Sheikh of Hatichapa village along with some others were allegedly trying to make bombs in the house of one Murshed Sheikh, a senior officer of Baishnabnagar police station when bomb blasted. People injured in the incident are reported to be have been arrested in connection with the blast. Police are now investigating if this incident is anyway connected to the Burdwan blast. Joint teams of West Bengal CID, the NIA and central intelligence agencies are also on the case. A terror group is suspected in the Burdwan blast which had killed two militants on October 2. Investigations say that important leads were followed by the investigators as per information provided by the accused. People arrested following the blast include Razia, Amina and Badrul Alam Molla. Reportedly the Centre had decided to hand over the bomb blast in Burdwan in West Bengal to NIA.
