Western Railways: Over 40 Trains Cancelled, 22 Rescheduled After Goods Train Derails At Palghar; Mumbai Locals Also Affected

Due to the derailment, some trains have been affected along this route, with 41 trains being cancelled while 18 trains were partially cancelled 9 trains diverted and 22 trains rescheduled till now.

Western Railways Update: A derailment incident involving 6 wagons & 1 BVG at Palghar yard on 28/05/2024 has disrupted the UP line of the Mumbai-Surat section. This disruption has led to significant changes in train schedules, with 41 cancellations, 18 partial cancellations, 9 diversions, and 22 reschedulings. Mumbai Suburban locals to and from Dahanu Road are also affected until 12 noon. The restoration of the UP line at Palghar Yard is underway, ensuring minimal disruptions. Western Railway CPRO assures prompt restoration for smooth train operations.
