Jagdalpur, July 29: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him why no action has been taken against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh even when he and his family has been named in the Panama Papers case. Gandhi’s statement came a day after Nawaz Sharif resigned from the post of the Pakistan prime minister following Supreme Court’s verdict in Panama Papers case. “Pakistan PM had to resign as his name was in Panama papers, Chhattisgarh CM and family’s name was also in it, but no action taken,” Gandhi was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. Continuing his attack on Raman Singh, Gandhi said that under his rule people have to go to Vizag to get treated for their illness but, under Congress rule things will be different as we will provide better healthcare facilities in the state itself so that people from Vizag come here for treatment. Earlier on Friday, while hitting out at the BJP, Gandhi had said the saffron party tells lies time and again to come to power. He said, “Itne zor se jhoot bolte hain jisse logon ko vo sach lage. Sirf power mein aane ke liye baar baar jhoot bolte hain (BJP leaders lies with such force that people think it’s the truth).”

Gandhi also said, “Satta mein aane ke liye BJP ne Chhattisgarh mein scam kiye, aadivasiyon ko maara,chhote dhandhe band karwaye, Daliton ko maara (The BJP did scam in Chhattisgarh, killed the Tribals, put an end to small businesses, killed the Dalits only to come to power).”
