New Delhi: A day after India confirmed artillery attack on terrorist camps inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik once again slammed Pakistan for breeding terrorism.
Speaking to media on Monday over Indian army using artillery guns to attack terrorist camps on Sunday inside PoK, Satya Pal Malik said, “kyu nahi hoga… agar nahi karenge toh yeh toh roz ka kaam hai unka… isko rokna padega… terrorists camps ko hum bilkul barbaad kar denge, aur agar ye nahi baaz aaye to hum andar Jayenge.” (Why shouldn’t they (artillery guns) be used… if we will not use it, then it’s their (Pakistan’s) daily routine to violate ceasefire so that terrorists can infiltrate… we will completely destroy terrorist camps and if they didn’t stop then we will enter inside — hinting that army will cross border to destroy terror camps).
Announcing the artillery strikes last evening, General Bipin Rawat had said three terror camps were destroyed and six to 10 soldiers of the Pakistan army were killed. “A similar number of terrorists have also been killed,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
The army, he said, had information that terrorists would infiltrate through Tangdhar and a decision was taken to target terror camps before they can attempt it.
Saying that the Army was getting intelligence inputs about terrorists coming closer to Army camps, Rawat said over the last month, there were repeated attempts from different sectors to infiltrate terrorists into the Indian side. “Of late, we had info that terrorists are coming closer to camps in the forward areas. In last 1 month, we have seen repeated attempts from different sectors to infiltrate terrorists,” he added.
