New Delhi, October 6: Political noise about the murder of Mohammad Akhlaq, doesn’t seem to be quieting down any time soon, with BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj being the latest contributor. Maharaj on Tuesday said that he and his allies are ready to kill and be killed for the cow, which is a sacred animal for Hindus. The Hindutva leader’s comments came in the backdrop of Samajwadi Party member Azam Khan’s announcement of seeking UN intervention into the alleged plans of RSS to turn India into a Hindu country.  “We won’t remain silent if somebody tries to kill our mother. We are ready to kill and get killed”, Maharaj was quoted as saying in a DNA report. Maharaj also hit out at Khan, calling him a Pakistani and saying that the UP government’s double standrads have been exposed. “Azam Khan is a Pakistani. He has faith in Pakistan’s political force. He calls Bharat Mata ‘witch'”, he said.On Tuesday, Khan wrote to the UN secretary general Ban-Ki-Moon, calling to attention the ‘miseries’ of minorities in India.
