‘Will Work Together For Development of Delhi,’ Says Kejriwal After Meeting Amit Shah

Soon after the meeting with Shah, Kejriwal took to Twitter and said that he had a fruitful meeting with the Home Minister. He also said that both the ministers discussed a number of issues and have decided to work together for the development of the national capital.

New Delhi: Two days after taking charge as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed a number of issues related to the development of the national capital.

Soon after the meeting with Shah, Kejriwal took to Twitter and said that he had a fruitful meeting with the Home Minister. He also said that both the ministers discussed a number of issues and have decided to work together for the development of the national capital.

“Met Hon’ble Home Minister Sh Amit Shah ji. Had a very good and fruitful meeting. Discussed several issues related to Delhi. Both of us agreed that we will work together for the development of Delhi,” Kejriwal said in a tweet.

After scoring a landslide victory, Kejriwal met the Home Minister for the first time today. On February 16, Kejriwal took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi for the third time along with his other ministers. Members of his new cabinet, including Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Rajendra Pal Gautam and Imran Hussain, also took charge at the Delhi Secretariat.

Though it’s a courtesy visit, speculations in the morning were rife that both the leaders will discuss Shaheen Bagh protest as interlocutors met the protesters today.

On the day of his victory in the Delhi Assembly Election 2020, Kejriwal took to Twitter and sought the blessings and cooperation of PM Narendra Modi. He also hoped that the Delhi government and the Central government will work together for the developmet of the national capital.
