New Delhi, December 13: The Winter Session of Parliament will be held between December 15, 2017 and January 5, 2018 comprising a total of 14 sittings. A total of 25 Bills have been listed for consideration and passing while 14 Bills are listed for introduction, consideration and passing. One Bill has been listed for withdrawal as well.

The Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Amendment Bill, 2017,  The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017, The Companies Bill, 2016 are some of the key bills to be taken up in Parliament as mentioned by PRS India.

The Consumer Protection Bill, 2015 has been listed for withdrawal.

Ahead of the Winter Session, Union Minister Ananth Kumar has called an all party meeting on December 14 in Parliament Library. A meeting of opposition leaders has also been called on December 14 at senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad’s office in Parliament for the upcoming session.

December 25, 26 will be Christmas holidays during the 14-day session, the minister had said.
