Panaji, May 30: A 31-year-old woman from Bardez was allegedly raped by a Nigerian national near Mapusa town in North Goa district. She was kidnapped at a knife point from Parra by the men. A case has been registered under IPC Sections 365, 506, 342, and 376 and  further investigation is going on. One of the two men took her to a room at knife point and raped her.Also Read - BJP Releases Final List Of 6 Candidates For Goa Election

As per the victim’s complaint, the incident occurred between 4:15 pm and 7 pm on Saturday. She was on her scooter when she was forcefully stopped at a junction in Parra by  Nigerians who were also on a two-wheeler. The men then took her to Assagao and rented a room in Doshishir. Another two Nigerian men tried to convince the woman that she would not be harmed sexually after which the accused forced them to leave the room. However, she was raped after which she managed to escape on her scooter and filed a complaint at the police station. Mapusa police sent the woman for medical examination and registered complaint against the unidentified Nigerian nationals. As per a Times of India Report, police inspected the room where the alleged rape took place. They also kept night watch in search of the accused but could not trace them till Sunday evening.
