Nanded, June 30: A woman with a broken leg was dragged out of a government hospital with the help of a bedsheet in Maharashtra’s Nanded due to unavailability of stretcher. The video which went viral on the social media shows the woman with the fractured leg being dragged by her relatives out of the government hospital with the help of a bedsheet because of the unavailability of a single stretcher. The woman in question had come to the hospital since she fractured her leg. She was given treatment and had to be carried outside but due to the unavailability of stretcher, she was dragged outside. On the contrary, the hospital authorities have said that the patient’s relatives were asked to wait for few minutes but they didn’t comply and rather left the hospital premises without informing anyone. They said that the workers had gone to drop someone and hence the patient and her relatives were asked to wait for five minutes.
However, hospital superintendent Chandrakant Mhaske said action would be taken against people who would be found guilty and has set up a committee to investigate the same.
