New Delhi: After banning illegal slaughter houses and curbing VIP culture in the state, the new Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath has decided to keep an eye on cheating in the board examinations. In the wake of reports of mass copying, the state government on Tuesday issued one WhatsApp number which is 9454457241 and another landline number which is 0522 2236760, claims report.
A couple of days ago, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who also holds the education portfolio in the state had asserted that all is well as far as the ongoing Uttar Pradesh board examinations are concerned. After making surprise inspections at least three examination centres in state capital Lucknow and in neighbouring Barabaniki district, Sharma had told PTI, ” I conducted surprise inspections at three colleges, where students were appearing for the UP Board examinations. As far as the conduct of examinations is concerned, I am satisfied.” The Deputy CM also had a brief interaction with some of the students appearing for the state board examinations.
Recently, the Deputy CM had held a video conference and directed all the District Magistrates and Senior Superintendent of Police to ensure all exam centres are properly secured. “Every department and organisation concerned has been given instructions and I am personally monitoring it,” Sharma said adding that the UP government will soon start a “transparent system”.
A few days back, a mass cheating case from Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia school came to light. Class X students were caught red-handed copying answers in Mathematics exam from each other and from open books. Times Now channel reported that students were cheating from carbon copy of their answer sheets that was given to them.
