Yogi Adityanath’s homecoming in Gorakhpur: Roads re-laid, saffron banners put up, security beefed up across city

Security at the Gorakhnath temple has also been beefed up. As per the reports, Adityanath will be arriving in the city in the evening of March 25 and return to Lucknow March 26 afternoon.

Gorakhpur, Mar 25: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is making his maiden visit to Gorakhpur today on March 25. Massive preparations are underway at the the residence of the Uttar Pradesh CM, the Gorakhnath temple, to welcome the newly-elected CM to his own constituency. Thousands of Yogi supporters have thronged the Math to catch a glimpse of the CM on his homecoming for the first time after becoming the UP chief minister. Adityanath represented the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat for five terms as a Member of Parliament.

“Since this will his first visit as Chief Minister, hectic preparations are going on to welcome him. The entire city is being decked up for the visit”, said Birendra Singh, a close aide of Adityanath Yogi. Yogi Adityanath will be on a two-day visit to Gorakhpur. The entire city has been covered with billboards and banners for his welcome. Security at the Gorakhnath temple has also been beefed up. As per the reports, Adityanath will be arriving in the city in the evening of March 25 and return to Lucknow March 26 afternoon.

He will also visit temples while performing a road show, reported ANI. The Chief Minister will be taking his road shows from Gorakhpur Airport to Nandanagar, Mohdipurpur, University Chowrah, Ganesh Chauraha and the MP Inter College grounds. It has also reported that Adityanath along with his supporters will lead a road show from Gorakhpur Airport to Nandanagar, Mohdipurpur, University Chowrah, Ganesh Chauraha and the MP Inter College grounds.

On Sunday, March 26, Adityanath is likely to attend a function on the occasion of the death anniversary of Yogiraaj Baba Gambhirnath and will also be addressing the gathering.

Along with other necessary arrangements, the officials have also applied a new coat of paint to the walls of the temple to welcome the Mahant. Garbage has been cleared off the roads, sewage and sewer lines have been cleared, cleanliness drive is being carried out ahead of the CM’s visit. In fact, roads leading to the Gorakhnath temple, which had many potholes, were re-laid overnight.

Since becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath have taken a string of decisions which the BJP had promised before the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier this week, the 21st CM of UP launched ‘Anti-Romeo’ squads to check on sexual assaults and harassment in public areas. Along with that, within first few days, Adityanath also ordered shut down of illegal slaughter houses and banned the use of tobacco in the government premises in the state.
