New Delhi: The RJD heir apparent Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his caste and called him an opportunist, who has not done anything for the backward community.
Yadav tweeted in Hindi:
(He said, “Narendra Modi is a fake backward. He was an upper caste till the age of 55 and then suddenly became one from a backward community post that… good, honest and a real backward person does not lie or pretend… You are fooling backward people Gujarati man. What have you done for the upper caste.)
He further slammed the Prime Minister and pointed that there is “not one OBC person in his PMO (Prime Minister’s Office), no OBC person is an university vice-chancellor or a professor…”
Tejashwi Yadav has long been leading a belligerent political attack against the Prime Minister and the Centre over various schemes and tweeting ahead of Narendra Modi’s rallies in the state and otherwise- often ‘reminding’ him of the promises made by the BJP in 2014.
Meanwhile, voting is underway amid tight security in five of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in the second of seven-phase Lok Sabha elections. More than 85 lakh voters are eligible to decide the fate of 68 candidates in the fray in this round.
