Patna: Indian Railways has seen a massive transformation under the Modi government. The railway network in India has now expanded across the nation, reaching even states like Manipur and Jammu & Kashmir. In its ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience for passengers, Indian Railways is now all set to launch a new high-speed train service connecting Patna and New Delhi.

The new train promises to reduce the travel time significantly and enhance passenger amenities at an affordable price. According to the reports, the service is expected to begin soon.

According to railway officials, the new service is likely to outperform existing trains on the route—including the Rajdhani Express, Sampoorna Kranti Express, and Vande Bharat Express—in terms of speed and onboard facilities.

Here are some of the key details:

• The Patna-New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express train will run at a speed of 130 Km/hr.
• The travel time between Patna and New Delhi will be completed in just 11 hours, making it one of the faster options on the busy route.
• The Amrit Bharat Express is designed to accommodate around 1500 passengers.
• The Amrit Bharat Express will feature 22 coaches, including 11 general, eight sleeper, one pantry car, and two luggage-less second-class reserved (LSRD) coaches.
• Every seat will have a charging point, LED information boards, CCTV cameras, bio-vacuum toilets with sensor taps, and more comfortable seating.

It is important to note that Amrit Bharat Express is already operational on the Darbhanga–Anand Vihar Terminal route in Bihar. Ticket prices on this route begin at just ₹35 for a 50 km journey, and a similar level of affordability is expected for the upcoming Patna–Delhi route as well.
