Ranchi, Apr 24 (PTI) The Jharkhand government today directed all departments to make all payments above Rs 5000 through e-payment mode from May 1.

“All payments above Rs 5000 should be done through e-payment mode. All payments below Rs 5000 could be done either through e-payment or cash,” an official release said after Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Development Commissioner, Amit Khare, held a meeting with all department secretaries.

During the meeting, Khare broadly discussed the present status of announcements made by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

In all, 142 schemes announced by the chief minister were reviewed. 29 schemes were completed in the first month of the financial year , the release said.
