Lok Sabha Elections 2204: Bollywood actor and BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate for the Himachal’s Mandi seat Kangana Ranaut had said in the past that she ate beef, alleged Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Friday. He stated that the saffron gave ticket to Kangana, who once wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that she ate beef and liked it, PTI reported.
Notably, Kangana Ranaut is attacking the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi since she joined the BJP. Even before joining the BJP, Ranaut was making news for her pro-Hindu remarks.
BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye reacted to Wadettiwar’s statement on the BJP candidate and stated that this reflected the Congress’s “dirty culture”.
“This reflects Congress’ dirty culture. It cannot fight us on issues. This shows the party’s defeatist mentality,” PTI quoted Keshav Upadhye as saying.
BJP leader Shaina NC also jumped into the ongoing debate and accused the Congress of being “anti women”. She highlighted the post uploaded by party leader Supriya Shrinate on Kangana Ranaut and MP Randeep Surjewala’s remark against his counterpart Hema Malini.
“If the Congress party is so defunct of any thought process, I think the befitting answer will be on June 4 when the women of India speak up and vote against this anti-woman party called the Congress,” said Shaina NC.
The controversy had erupted that rolled the eyes of everyone after after an objectionable post on Ranaut was shared on Shrinate’s Instagram account.
Just a day following the revelation of Kangana Ranaut as a Lok Sabha candidate by BJP, a shameful image with a disrespectful tagline was circulated. Amidst this, Randeep Surjewala was cornered into controversy as a video surfaced hinting at the Congress MP’s offensive remarks about Hema Malini, leading to reproach from the BJP.
