Karnataka, Apr 23: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its fourth list of candidates, containing seven candidates for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections 2018. In the fourth list for Karnataka Assembly elections, names contesting on a BJP ticket include G R Pravin Patil, Jaggesh, Lallesh Reddy, H Lilavathi, Nandini Gowda, H K Suresh and Preetham Gowda. The BJP released its third list on April 20, which has names of 59 candidates.
The saffron party’s first list of candidates had a total of 72 candidates including chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa. The second list had 83 candidates the party would be contesting in the Karnataka polls 2018. The party on Saturday released a list of 40-star campaigners which has some big names including Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, followed by party chief Amit Shah, state president BS Yeddyurappa, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The tenure of 224-member Karnataka Assembly expires on May 28. Currently, the state is ruled by Siddaramaiah-led Congress. Karnataka will go to polls on May 12. The results will be out on May 15.
