Kolkata, January 1: Looks like everyone in country is on a mood to insult the Indian national flag. A fresh case has appeared in which Trinamool Congress has humiliated the national flag by putting their party flag bigger in size and planted it just beside it. Soon, after the photo was published in Twitter, people from all sections criticised the party for their move.
The incident which took place when the Mamata Banerjee-led government was celebrating their foundation day on Friday. The party which was founded in 1998, was in celebration mood and unknowingly insulted the national flag. With the photograph being posted on the micro blogging website, reactions poured in within minutes. According to the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, any insult or an attempt to insult the national symbol is punishable under the law.
