“The accused had escaped from the spot along with the girl by the time police arrived. He frequently changed his place of stay to avoid arrest”, news agency PTI quoted Inspector Shyamsunder Kauthale as saying. On February 8, cops nabbed the accused from a bus stop in Aurangabad and managed to rescue the girl.

In her statement, the girl informed the police that the accused repeatedly raped her and whenever he went out somewhere, he used to lock her inside a room.
