The British royal family is famous worldwide for ruling many nations, which is why King Charles III is a figure of significant repute. However, he is far behind King Vajiralongkorn in terms of wealth, and King Charles III is not listed among the top ten wealthiest kings in the world.
Despite the era of kingdoms being over, a few kings still survive across the world. One such king is Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama X. He is the richest king of Thailand and took over the reign after the death of his father, Bhumibol Adulyadej. Vajiralongkorn’s father ruled the nation for 70 years, the longest reign of any Thai king.

According to an ET report, King Vajiralongkorn has assets totaling Rs 36,74,43,03,38,170. A large portion of his wealth comes from the kingdom, accumulated over many decades. His major sources of wealth include investments in real estate, cement companies, and banks.
If reports from Fox Business are to be believed, King Vajiralongkorn’s total assets are estimated to be between $30 billion and $45 billion. According to Reuters, King Rama X’s Crown Property Bureau manages 6,560 hectares of land that has been leased. There are 40,000 rental contracts on this land, of which 17,000 are located in the capital.
King Vajiralongkorn possesses a golden jubilee diamond weighing 545.67 carats, valued at ₹98 crores. He has several luxury cars, including limousines and Mercedes. Additionally, he owns 38 aircraft and 21 helicopters. Interestingly, the kingdom spends an annual maintenance cost of Rs 500 crores for these aircraft and vehicles.
