The elephant headed obstacle remover is coming to celebrate 10 day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The Ganpati festival is celebrated in the honour of the god of new beginnings. The festival includes installation and worshiping of clay idols of the elephant god in various public shrines as well as in household temples. The 10 day festival is celebrated with huge pomp and fervor and ends on Anant Chaturdashi.

One such Pandal is ‘Swapnakshyay Mitra Mandal’ in Andheri, Mumbai. Keeping in mind the current trend, this particular Pandal is trying to spread awareness about the deadly epidemic Ebola. They are distributing symbolic masks to every devotee to spread awareness about the deadly virus Ebola.

Recently the Mumbai and Delhi airports were on high alerts following the return of 114 Indian citizens from Liberea. The deadly epidemic has caused an uproar globally. The deadly Ebola epidemic has spread throughout Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone and Nigeria. It is the worst-ever outbreak of the killer virus. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned it could take several months to bring the epidemic under control. As per the observation of the WHO there have been 2,615 cases and 1,427 deaths reported in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria so far.
