The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in several parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, on Tuesday (July 16).
IMD has issued a red alert for Raigad and an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Satar, and Kolhapur for tomorrow.
According to the civic body, the city recorded 14 incidents of tree collapses in the past 24 hours, 8 incidents of partial house collapses and 15 incidents of short circuits.

BMC issues high tide warning
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a high tide warning of waves measuring 3.18 metre which may possibly occur around 6:56 pm today.
Moderate to heavy rain in city and suburbs. Possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
