IMD has issued a red alert for multiple districts in Maharashtra, predicting heavy showers, thunderstorms today. A high tide alert has also been issued for Mumbai’s coastal areas. Mumbai experienced extremely heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday, causing severe waterlogging and traffic congestion. BMC, Mumbai Police issued traffic advisories, urging residents to avoid coastal areas and stay indoors.
