Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will present the Odisha Budget in the State Assembly today. Earlier, Odisha Assembly continued to witness repeated adjournments on Wednesday again following a ruckus on the third day of the budget session. The opposition BJD staged a walkout over the state government’s inaction in the case related to the alleged assault on an Assistant Section Officer (ASO) by Governor Raghubar Das’s son.
Odisha CM has proposed a total of Rs 10,000 crore for Subhadra Yojana in the state budget; the yojana was earlier announced in the election manifesto.

“As the annual budget for 2024-25 financial year will be presented on July 25, people’s suggestions were sought through online platforms. We have received over 12,000 proposals, which is six times more than earlier. It is encouraging to see people’s active participation in the process of budget preparation,” the Odisha CM had said.
