New Delhi: Churu Assembly constituency will go to the polls on December 7 along with other Vidhan Sabha seats. According to the reports of Election Commission of India, the Churu constituency has approx 2,28, 483 electorates out of which 1,10,187 are females and 1,18,296 are males . The current MLA of Churu Vidhan Sabha seat is Rajender Singh Rathore from the ruling BJP.
Though a number of candidates are trying their luck from this constituency this time, in elections, the main fight contest is said to be between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress candidate.
In 2013, BJP’s Rajender Singh Rathore had registered thumping victory from Churu seat. He had defeated Congress’ Hazi Maqbool Mandelia. Rathore had managed to win a total of 80100 votes while Mandeia had received 60098 votes.
For the upcoming December 7 polls, both BJP and Congress have retained their old candidates. The BJP has fielded Rajendra Rathore while the Congress has fielded Hazi Maqbool Mandelia.
Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 will be held on December 7. The counting of votes will be held on December 11. There are 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 163 seats and the Congress 23 seats in the 14th assembly election held in 2013. Elections in Rajasthan have been a two-party affair—the BJP and Congress.
