New Delhi: Nawalgarh is one of the 200 constituencies which is set to go on polls on December 7 in the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2018. The results of Nawalgarh Vidhan Sabha will be declared on December 11.

The Assembly constituency will witness a tough fight between  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and a few Independent candidates. For 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Jagdish Saini whereas Congress has nominated Pratibha Singh from Nawalgarh constituency. Independent candidates are also in fray for the upcoming polls.

In 2013, Independent candidate Rajkumar Sharma had registered a thumping victory from Nawalgarh constituency. He had defeated Congress’ Pratibha Singh. Sharma had managed to bag 76845 votes while Singh had received 43279 votes.

Single phase voting for the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 will take place on December 7, 2018 and counting of votes will take place on December 11, 2018, along with four other states—Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.

There are 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 163 seats and the Congress 23 seats in the 14th assembly election held in 2013.
