Mumbai, Mar 16 (PTI) Industry lobby CII today elected Rasna chairman Piruz Khambatta as its chairman for the Western region for the next fiscal year.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has also appointed Bajaj Finserv managing director Sanjiv Bajaj as the deputy chairman.

The major focus areas for CII in the Western region will be membership engagement, policy advocacy, ease of doing business clinics, policy roundtables, policy formulation, innovation and start-ups, making members future ready, promoting industrial safety, water initiatives, corporate governance, education & skill development and job fairs, the chamber said in a statement.

The names were announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted Western regional council held in Mumbai today.
