Russia-Ukraine war: In a massive turn of events in the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukraine has reportedly fired drones at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s home. As per a report carried by NDTV, Russia’s foreign minister has said that 91 drones were intercepted and brought down at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “official residence” in the Novgorod region. What Russian Foreign minister said on drone attack from Ukraine?

“Russia’s negotiating position will be revised” in the ongoing peace talks seeking to end Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. Lavrov said there was no damage or casualties resulting from the incident, adding that Russia had chosen targets in Ukraine for “retaliation strikes”, Russian Foreign minister said responding to the drone attack.

In a televised statement, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the drone attack in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday failed to cause any damage as the drones were downed.  He, however, warned that Russia reserves the right to respond at an appropriate time.

‘Attempt to derail peace talks’

Lavrov described the Ukrainian attacks as an attempt to derail peace talks by Kyiv and its allies. He added that Moscow will change its stance on peace talks with Ukraine, but peace negotiations will continue with the team of US President Donald Trump, a PTI report said.

“Putin told Trump about the attack on the presidential residence in a phone call the two leaders had on Monday. President Trump was shocked,” the Kremlin foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov was quoted as saying by Russian TV channels.
