Toronto, July 23: One woman was killed while at least 13 others were injured after an armed man opened fire outside a restaurant in Canada’s Toronto today before turning the gun on himself, according to Canada Police.
The shooting took place near Danforth Street and Logan Avenue, which is in the Greektown neighbourhood, often referred to as The Danforth.

Jody Steinhauer, an eyewitness, told CBC News she was at Christina’s Restaurant on The Danforth with her family when she heard what sounded like 10-15 blasts of firecrackers. She said she was told to run to the back of the restaurant.
John Tulloch said he and his brother had just gotten out of their car when he heard about 20 to 30 gunshots late last night.
“We just ran. We saw people starting to run so we just ran,” he said.
An army of police, paramedics and other first responders soon descended on the scene, while area residents, some in their pajamas, emerged from their homes to see what was happening.
