Surat, December 30: A major fire broke out today evening at a godown in Surat’s Rander. Over 12 fire tenders were present at the spot and the officials are treating it as a call 3 fire.

There are no reports of any loss of life, but police officials present at the spot say that the fire has already caused a major damage to stocks kept at the godown.

Three days ago, a major fire broke out in a power loom unit of Ved Road reduced to ashes its ground floor and first floor equipped with machines and materials.

The fire was extinguished after four hours with the help of three fighters, seven water tankers and three bourses and score of personnel. There was no casualties reported in the fire.
