Swami Mukundananda has always been a meritorious student. He completed his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He later pursued his MBA from the equally revered Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata. After that, he worked for some time with one of India’s topmost industrial houses.
Driven by a profound desire to understand the essence of divine love and Bhakti (devotion), he often immersed himself in deep spiritual contemplation. Eventually, his yearning for God became so intense that he abandoned his career and embarked on a journey across India as a sanyasi.
After many years, Swami Mukundananda finally found Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. About this first meeting, Shree Maharajji later remarked, “He recognized me as one would recognize his mother.” Under the guidance of Shree Maharajji, he practiced intense sadhana while residing at the ashram. He also extensively studied the Vedic scriptures, Indian and Western systems of philosophy.
