Haryana News: The Haryana Police have constituted a a five-member Special Investigation Team to probe the purported assault of a Sikh Man who was allegedly attacked with bricks and called a “Khalistani” by two bike-borne assailants in Kaithal district of the state.
In a video which went viral on Tuesday, the victim, Sukhwinder Singh, narrated his harrowing ordeal on camera. Singh said he was waylaid by two motorcycle-borne men who called him a “Khalistani” and assaulted him with bricks.
“They abused me and called me a Khalistani. One person got down from the motorcycle and hit me with bricks,” Singh, who has visible marks of assault and injury on his face, says in the video.

According to the police complaint, the victim was waiting at a railway-level crossing here when the incident took place on Monday evening.
As the gates opened and traffic started moving, the man had an argument with two motorcycle-borne youths. The matter escalated and a fight broke out between them.
The victim said some people intervened and saved him from the two attackers who fled from the spot. The man said that he did not know who the youths were. “I was not able to see the registration plate of the motorcycle properly,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Police on Wednesday formed a five-member SIT headed by a deputy superintendent of police rank officer to probed the incident, officials said, adding that the CCTV footage of the area where the alleged incident took place was being analysed to trace the accused who are yet to be identified.
A senior police officer said strict action will be taken against the culprits once they are nabbed and revealed that the cops have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the two accused.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have condemned the incident and called for immediate action against the culprits.
